What Luigi Ontani calls lenticular photographs are actually superimposed photographs. A knurled sheet of plastic material, placed in place of glass, allows the view of the various poses depending on how the observer moves. The word "ombrofago" is an invention of Ontani and means shadow eater. The character in the photo is Ontani himself elegantly dressed and wearing a pair of sandals similar to the ceramics that are one of his typical productions.
