Short Review
In this photo Luigi Ontani is photographed while spanking a boy who is posing naked on his lap. The boy only wears peacock feathers. As he often does, Ontani watercolors the photos by hand. For example, his dress and the stole where the boy is leaning are watercolored in the style of peacock feathers, the snake at the boy's feet is also watercolored. As reproduced on the reverse of the work, Ontani draws inspiration from a work by Max Ernst in which the artist paints a woman while he spanks a child lying on her lap.
