This work by Salvo represents a minaret in the moonlight. The minaret is a recurring subject in Salvo's artistic production, evidently greatly influenced by the charm of the East. In his career Salvo represented the minaret at different times of the day and in very different places. In this nocturnal the moon emanates a vivid light that highlights the contours of the building and this can only be appreciated in places with little humidity such as those in the Mediterranean or Middle East.
