This work by Javacheff Christo belongs to the first period when his activity was limited to packaging the most disparate objects, therefore before the grandiose environmental projects. Although it does not have the charm of the latter, this work has its importance in Christo's artistic career because the canapé is that of Christo's studio and is still found there wrapped up, because he used two materials, polyethylene and fabric, because it twine is the rough and sturdy one from the boxes, basically what Christo had on hand and not bought on purpose. Furthermore, the figure occupies an important part of the work which is embellished by the large strokes of pencil. Together with the image of the work, a photo of the wrapped sofa is also given.
