"Theatre of the World" is the title of this work by Giulio Paolini and the title is emblematic of the figuration of the painting. The work is divided into three parts, in the central part is depicted a stage, like a Greek or Roman temple, bearing at the bottom an orchestra on which looms the earth of preponderant dimensions compared to the whole scene, for which it itself, the earth, becomes the object of representation. In the lateral parts worlds appear, but two are crossed by the musical pentagram so that the whole is like a hymn to the world, to our mother earth.
