This work by Riccardo Guarneri is divided into two parts separated by a white horizontal stripe. The upper half consists of a rectangle, closed by a strip of a very clear magenta, divided into two quadrants that carry two irregular grids and staggered between them. Below on a blue gray field Guarneri bears a strip of a very soft red. Apart from the usual nuances and penetrations of one color in the other, there is a clear contrast between the two parts of the painting. Perhaps a drop in emotional tension prompted Riccardo Guarneri to simplify the work in the two grids and in the horizontal strip below both meaningless and relationship with each other. It is only the shade of the colors that points out that Guarneri is there anyway.
