This work by Franco Costalonga belongs to the series of chromokinetics, that is, to those works that have as a distinctive element the hollow hemisphere that is internally chromed and in the center has fixed a cylinder painted with acrylic color. In this case the surface of the work is rounded, another peculiar sign of Costalonga'sworks. For a game of reflections, the cylinder is reflected by the sphere in the form of two beams, with the same color of the cylinder, which rotate according to the movement of the viewer and widen to occupy the entire hemisphere. In this case, carefully observing the hemispheres, the curved surface of the work operates a kind of double reflection that is not concentric respect to the hemispheres but displaced depending on the position of the hemisphere itself on the curved surface of the work.
