In this work Angelo Cagnone centrally inserts the image of two female faces, the one on the right is the face of an elderly woman with her hands on her face while the left one is the face of a young woman facing the sky. Both seem to pray, hence the title "Recitative" that Angelo Cagnone attributes to the work. Below the images there are two vertical rectangles, the right one is black interspersed with horizontal white stripes, while the left one is very light gray with white dots arranged vertically. The lines and dots serve to break the monotony of the work and lie, almost in its entirety, in the cone of light that is projected downwards from above. This cone of light also generates a shadow below. Light and shadow support each other because there can be no shadow without light and light without shadow would give an indistinct view of things. Finally, as his characteristic, Angelo Cagnone brings back horizontally broken sentences to complement his stylistic figure.
