This work by Arnaldo Pomodoro was part of the exhibition "Continuum" held in our gallery from December 4, 2010 to February 27, 2011. The work is published in the exhibition catalogue on page 31. The work is double-sided and can manually rotate around a vertical pin fixed to a corten steel base. The title of the work, Scudo, in fact misrepresents the representation of the sculpture as it is not a shield but two bones of cuttlefish. The cuttlefish bone is particularly dear to Pomodoro, in fact we see it represented in many of his works, because it is the first object that Pomodoro, still a child, tried to engrave.
