We were very pleased to have the opportunity to visit the Bertozzi&Casoni laboratory to evaluate a future collaboration that looks set to be fruitful. We were welcomed only by Bertozzi as the laboratory partner, Casoni, passed away in 2023. The Bertozzi&Casoni laboratory carries out the complete cycle of work, from the conception, drawn on a sheet of paper, to the execution with the use of various materials with different mixes depending on the type of artifact they have to make. The laboratory is also equipped with four ovens of various sizes for firing the ceramic. This firing is the most delicate part of the work as the artist must proceed with very slow heating and cooling to avoid any breakages, breakages that are however taken into account. In this case the work is no longer recoverable and is scrapped.
