The Art Gallery L'Incontro has made new purchases of works by Mario Raciti. These works, of varying sizes, are dated 1958 and belong to the series of what Mario Raciti referred to as gestures of the unknown. The title, which Mario Raciti wanted to give to this series of works, means that the artist has not yet reached the full awareness of the direction that would follow his art. Mario Raciti paints with quick and improvised gesture pushed only by his disposition, an inner need to express with brushes his personality. Soon after Mario Raciti realizes that his path is that of a dreamlike painting that stands between the informal and the abstract and then begins his pictorial cycles: mythology, one or two figures, the flowers of the deep, etc. Soon these works will be published on our website at https://www.galleriaincontro.it/en/artisti-opere/mario-raciti
