This interesting exhibition is currently underway in Rome, in the halls of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, involving the two artists Francesco Clemente, an exponent of the Transavanguardia, and Pietro Ruffo who works in the field of new figuration. The exhibition was brought to our attention by Luigi Ontani and we were delighted to visit it. Francesco Clemente's exhibition is entitled "Anima nomade" and is a journey through the various stages of the artist's physical and cultural nomadism, which is represented by a series of tents, each tent depicting a symbolic path inspired by the artist's multiple experiences and cultural interests. To complete the exhibition, the artist has created mural paintings where the outline includes oxblood-colored waves that give the impression of a moving sea and flags that emerge from the walls above. The flags are triangular and are painted on both sides, on one side faces are depicted and on the opposite side phrases embroidered in gold. The exhibition runs until March 30, 2025.
Pietro Ruffo's exhibition is entitled "The last wonderful minute" and is an explosion of colors and plants, a tribute to nature and its history as it is and as it may never be. The artist extracts details on the canvas, whether small or large, carves them and places them in relief from the surface of the canvas, fixing them with pins. It is a fantastic world, an immersion in a jungle, a visual curiosity that drags you into the rooms draped with enormous curtains like tapestries. Fantastic landscapes with mountains, valleys, vegetation and suspended shells and in some works with a background of characters and moments of daily life. The exhibition lasts until February 16
